MOI Co-hosts IGNITED with GiftEDnz at NMIT – a gifted education conference for educators with special guests TwoBitCircus (USA), Professor Roger Molzen (Univ of Waikato) and Professor June Maker (Univ of Arizona, USA). Educators from all over New Zealand attend two days of dynamic hands-on sessions plus academic lectures.

The Academic Quiz Program begins, sponsored by the Cawthron Institute! Launched with only College and Intermediate students in mind, the Colleges have so much fun they ask if THEY can organise one for Primary students. Thus the MOI Mentorship Program is born and from then on MOI begins to mentor College students to run events

Funding for the RSG’s ends after a national Hui to celebrate all the great ideas generated. We, in the Nelson-Tasman group, wonder who is going to ACT on all those great ideas. So we decide to “just do it”without any funding from anywhere. We incorporated and founded the Charitable Trust named Ministry of Inspiration.
